Campingpark Lake Gedern

For all those who would like to come to Gedern earlier, i.e. before the meeting, please note the following:

The weekend before, from 27.07. to 28.07.2024, the big lake festival will take place in the camping park. On these two days it is not possible to arrive, the entrance and exit is also completely closed, so that you could only leave the site on foot. Our tip for all holidaymakers: Arrive on Monday, 29.07.2024 at the earliest, staying longer after the meeting is no problem. 

Outside the meeting, the normal prices of the camping park apply. 

In the centre of Gedern, please take the "Seestraße" signposted to the camping park from the main road 275. The road makes a surprising right-hand bend and then also has a surprising 12% gradient. Then it's a leisurely ride down to the lake.

Alternative approach for 2CV with caravan:
To the east of Gedern, turn off the B275 onto the B276 towards Schotten. After about 500 metres, turn left onto a dirt road signposted as a one-way street for Citroen. Please follow the gravelled path slowly, it is also a hiking trail, and you will soon see the Treffenwiesen meadows on the right-hand side. Follow it until you reach the tarmac road and roll comfortably down to the lake.

Entré
Before the camping park, turn left to the entrance, which is organised by the camping park itself. There you pay, receive your entrance wristbands and a token for your entrances and exits (deposit 10,00€!).

Please follow the instructions of the camping park staff.

Late Arrival

Bins with different colours are available:

• Blue - paper

• Yellow - packaging, plastic, metal

• Black/green - residual waste

• Waste glass - white, green, brown

Open fires are not permitted in the summer months due to the risk of fire. 
We ask for your understanding. 

But you don't have to do without the popular barbecue, so enjoy! 

The camping park has free WLAN, but:

With an expected high number of participants, this may be overloaded at some times.

We recommend everyone who needs fast access to the internet to set up their own hotspot.

There are free power connections on the meeting meadows, please make sure that these are not overloaded with too many fridges etc. - and please make sure that the power cables are laid safely.

If a large number of 2CVs are coming, we will have additional areas available, but these will not have 230V connections.

The camping park has nine very attractive wooden cabins for up to four people, known here as mobile homes. These mobile homes/chalets are all reserved for us and can only be booked through us.

• The park's visitor toilet is located next to the stage,

• another WC container on the way to the meeting area,

• The service building with sufficient WCs and showers (5 ladies, 8 men) is located directly next to the meeting area.

• At the top in the middle of the meeting area there are further toilet containers and one shower container each (10 women, 10 men).
   

The showers/WCs are cleaned regularly. 

After the entrance, please turn right towards Treffen. You will first pass the event area with stage, snack bar and market, then turn left onto the Seewiese and right up to the other areas. 
Depending on the weather, the "Seewiese" can be very damp (it is on a lake!), we recommend NOT to park here with heavy vehicles or caravans, it is better to camp there.

>> Please be so kind and drive slowly. Walking speed applies throughout the campsite. Please pay particular attention to children, as swimming continues despite our meeting.

On the other side of the lake you will see a serviced beach with beach chairs and more.
There is also a small beach near the boat hire centre. 
Please watch out for crocodiles!

Surfing and stand-up paddling are permitted. 

Please DO NOT FEED, even if the little ducks and other animals are still too cute.
